The Cozy Island Cottage is nestled under the shade of large live oak trees on James Island. Conveniently located 5 miles from Folly Beach and downtown, you are just minutes from the best Charleston has to offer. This "beachy farmhouse" cottage features 17 ft cathedral ceilings, fully stocked kitchen, live edge slab island bar top, over 250 sqft of outdoor living space with private hot tub, a bedroom with queen on main floor, and loft with queen bed accessed by a spiral staircase. This spacious, well designed cottage offers a full kitchen with all the essentials, comfortable tiled shower with rain shower-head, and detachable shower-head, easy key-code access, Wifi, two flat screen smart TV's, laundry room, inside and outside seating areas, grill area, outdoor shower, private hot tub and ample space in the large shady backyard to play and entertain. The spiral staircase to access the loft is narrow. If you have trouble climbing stairs or are over 250lbs using this staircase may be challenging. Beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, a portable speaker are provided for you convenience as well as coffee, sugar, bath and beach towels, bed linens, paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps. ***NEW PRIVATE HOT TUB - EXCLUSIVE USE TO THIS UNIT Our hot tubs are professionally serviced and chemically balanced on a weekly basis to ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing experience for every guest. Please note that road construction is currently underway on our street. While it has not been a major issue, occasional noise and slight traffic disruptions are possible. Uber and Lyft are plentiful and affordable. There are also local yellow cabs, limo services, and a public transit. There are two other units, The Island Hideout and The Island Nest, attached to the rear of the front house, that may house other guests during your stay. The structures are separated by about 200' but are on the same half acre property so please be courteous. The Cozy Island Cottage is the Stand alone in the back corner of the yard. Streaming services available with guests’ own account(s). There are cameras located at the front exterior entrance and and over the backyard. This property was tucked away, close to the beach, and absolutely gorgeous. I booked for a quick weekend solo staycation and couldn’t be more satisfied. It was clean, exactly as pictured, and had everything I needed. Enjoyed the hot tub and cozy luxury vibes. I definitely plan on booking again in the future.
David and Deidra’s place was super cute and exactly what we needed! Comfy, cozy and in a great location!
Place was perfect for my fiancé and I and our dog. Close to many things. Hot tub and outdoor shower was nice. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Just some minor inconveniences, example being it said it had a Bluetooth speaker and laundry detergent, and I couldn’t find either. It also said it had shampoo and conditioner, which I also couldn’t find. Other than that it was a good stay.
